How Chef Drago works

You tap in what you feel like, swipe through easy recipes, let your two favourites fight it out in a duel, then cook the winner step by step with timers. It takes a few minutes to go from “I don’t know” to “we’re cooking this”.

From "I don't know" to dinner in three taps.

1. Say what you feel like (or don’t)

Before swiping, you can set the meal type, how much time you have, the number of plates, the cuisine you fancy, the difficulty and the ingredients you already have. All of it is optional: with no settings at all, Drago goes straight to easy recipes.

Your diet, allergies and the foods you dislike live in your profile and apply to every deck.

2. Swipe the deck

Each card shows a photo, the recipe name, three words that describe it, the difficulty, cooking time, calories and budget. Right for yum, left for nope. If you entered your ingredients, the card shows how many of them it uses.

The more you swipe, the closer the suggestions get to your taste.

3. The duel

As soon as two recipes are on your shortlist, they face off. Tap the one you would rather eat: it wins, the other goes back in the fridge. No more ten open tabs and an hour of hesitating.

4. Cook it step by step

Cook mode shows one step at a time with the quantities you need. When a step mentions a duration, a timer is ready to start, and it stays visible on your iPhone’s lock screen. At the end, the app celebrates your dish: YOU COOKED.

What about the whole week?

The weekly planner picks your meals from the number of dinners, your budget and your goals, then builds the shopping list. Your first plan is free; more plans are part of the optional Star Chef subscription.

Want to try it without installing anything? Play with the deck on the home page. For the numbers and the full fact sheet, see the app page.
