Terms of Use

1. Introduction

Welcome to Chef Drago (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our mobile application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

Chef Drago is a cooking and meal-planning application designed to help users discover, create, and enjoy recipes tailored to their preferences and available ingredients.

2. User Accounts

  • This App is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users in the European Economic Area must also meet their country’s legal age of digital consent, which may be higher than 13.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Use of Services

You agree to use Chef Drago only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or offensive
  • impersonate any person or entity
  • interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App
  • use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent
  • scrape, copy, or redistribute content without permission

4. Content and Recipes

  • Recipes and content provided through the App are for informational purposes only.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content.
  • You are responsible for following food-safety guidelines.
  • We are not liable for any adverse reactions, allergies, or health issues resulting from recipes.
  • Always check ingredients for allergens and consult a healthcare provider for dietary restrictions.

5. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the publisher of Chef Drago and are protected by French and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade-secret, and other intellectual-property laws.

  • All trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed in the App are the property of the publisher or of third parties.
  • You may not use these marks without prior written permission.
  • Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without any obligation to you.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Chef Drago offers an optional subscription, “Star Chef”, billed through Apple’s App Store. The price, billing period (monthly or yearly) and any free trial are shown before you subscribe.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • A free trial, where offered, becomes a paid subscription at its end unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions are managed via RevenueCat.
  • You can cancel at any time from Settings > Cancel subscription in the App, or in your Apple Account settings. You keep access until the end of the period already paid.
  • Refunds and, for consumers in the European Union, the 14-day right of withdrawal are handled by Apple in accordance with its terms and your legal rights (reportaproblem.apple.com). Except where required by law, amounts already billed are non-refundable.
  • Recipes, swiping, Cook Now and Cook Later remain free.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including a breach of these Terms. On termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher of Chef Drago shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including, without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses — resulting from your use of the App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the French Consumer Code.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with French law. Any dispute relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions that grant you the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence within the European Union.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will give notice of any material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
